Chemicals Private Limited’ is a privately owned company, specializing
in producing granular and powder carbon from coconut shell charcoal.
Embarking our journey in the year 1998, we are instrumental in
producing and exporting activated carbon under our registered brand
name “KALBONTM”.
We have earned a strong reputation in the industry by working under the
able guidance of our mentor Mr. S. Ganesan. His passion for excellence
and proven experience in coconut processing, coconut shell charcoal and
activated carbon has helped us in garnering the accreditation of ISO

Application Areas

Activated Carbon is a purified and specially processed form of carbon, which is used for adsorbing unwanted colours, flavours, odours and contaminants from gases and liquids owing to its porosity.
The coconut shell charcoal is treated with steam at very high temperature to remove most of its impurities and incorporate porosity. Its extensive network of internal pores of molecular dimensions within the carbon particles constitutes enormous surface areas of 500 - 1200 m2/gm and utilizes the so called vanderwaals, forcing to remove one or more components from a mixture.
